About this workshop
The Day & Night Workshop is an exciting hands-on learning experience that combines creativity, technology, craftsmanship, and astronomy. During the day, students will participate in a PegBoard & Accessories Making session where they will learn basic woodcrafting techniques to design and assemble their own pegboard desk organiser. They will also explore 3D design and 3D printing to create custom accessories such as hooks, holders, trays, and decorative elements for their pegboards. Through this experience, students will develop important future-ready skills including creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, spatial awareness, design thinking, and fine motor skills. They will learn how to plan layouts, work with measurements, experiment with ideas, and transform digital designs into real-world creations. The workshop also encourages teamwork, communication, and confidence through collaborative making activities. As night falls, the experience continues with a Stargazing Session where students will observe planets, stars, and constellations through telescopes. They will learn basic astronomy concepts and discover fascinating facts about the night sky and space exploration. The Day & Night Workshop offers students a unique opportunity to design, create, explore, and discover while blending science, technology, creativity, and curiosity into one unforgettable learning experience.
